My best advise is to apply at as many colleges as possible and don't listen to others that say the program is impacted, or that there is a long waiting list. This is what I was told when applying for nursing school, there were long waiting lists and you will have to wait years sometimes to get in. I ignored all the pessimism and applied at three local universities and junior colleges and got accepted at all three, choosing the best university that fit my needs.
