One moment that changed you
I wrote about an experience at Boston Children's Hospital in which I interacted with a patient in the NICU that had no family and was spanish speaking yet being spoken to in spanish. I told the child stories in spanish and watched as they transformed with heart rate returning to stability. The child became more calm and stopped crying showing me the need for personalized care in the health care system.
