Leadership experience

Ever since my freshman year of high school I have taken part of Relay for Life of New Fairfield’s Planning Committee. Relay for Life is an all night event where people walk around tracks to raise money for cancer research and awareness. Over the years I have been apart of the Survivor and Caregiver subcommittee. We plan events to honor the fight that all of the Survivors in our town and surrounding towns have given to win their battles...

The last semester of sophomore year I needed to get knee surgery and the surgery cost me two weeks of missed work that was difficult to keep up on and impacted my grades immensely. A few months after that I wound up with a concussion right before finals and because of my low final grades my GPA was not as high as it should of been.
