My personal statement emphasized a situation of great significance that related to why my grades were not adequate representation of my capabilities. After addressing the issue I illustrated how another situation lead me to persevere and change my outlook on education and my capabilities which helped illustrate to my university that my poor grades were not a representation of who I was.
