College Application Essays

Personal Statement: Art/acting/singing
55 Words
My personal statement was about the role that my father played in my persuit of knowledge. He chose to relocate my family to our small ranch. He chose to teach me to explore physical objects with tools and sketches. He was the most influencial contributor, besides myself, to my successes in high school and college.

College Admissions Advice

How I chose schools to apply to
33 Words
DO NOT CHOOSE SCHOOLS BY PRESTIGE. Choose a school based on fit, interests, and climate (way bigger than you think). Never choose a school because of its rank, prestige, or acceptance rate.

My advice about getting recommenders
37 Words
I chose to have my main letter of reccomendation come from a private vocal coach and not from a teacher. I feel that a teacher giving a reccomendation carries far less weight than an entity outside school.
