The cliched story of a terrible high school experience is not mine. In fact, high school was surprisingly great for my personal development. I expanded my horizons by actively engaging in other cultures and environments as the coordinator of the peer multicultural educators, teaching students in the Cabrini Green neighborhood in Chicago, and completing an internship in asylum law at a law firm in downtown Chicago.
