45 Words
I looked at Cappex.com for national scholarships. Similarly, I just googled scholarships to apply for, but make sure you double check to make sure the scholarships aren't a scam. I also looked to see what scholarships were offered through my school and local community.

What set me apart from other applicants
52 Words
For almost all of the schools I applied to I got a lot of positive feedback about my college essay. I wrote it as a narrative, talking about the time I went to my first theatre audition. I even received letters from admissions people praising it. It was quite surprising and nice!

My advice about getting recommenders
26 Words
Obviously, I chose teachers that actually knew me to write my recommendation letters. I had teachers who taught classes I really enjoyed and did well in.
